Running for President

Officer Candidate Test Score : 39/50

What do you believe is the biggest area of improvement NJ FBLA-PBL currently faces? How would you work to address this area?

The biggest area of improvement is member retention. To address this, I will continue the growth of our social media presence to make FBLA relevant and exciting to our members. It is important to get a free flow of ideas and an increased amount of information to our members

What will you do to increase the number of active chapters?

To increase the number of active chapters I will reach out to schools that have inactive FBLA chapters and discuss reactivation with the administration and former advisor of the chapter. I will also reach out to schools that do not have an FBLA chapter and work with administration along with dedicated students to activate a new chapter. Once the chapter is created, I will work closely with the advisor to gain student interest and to help run the first few meetings.

What leadership roles do you have inside and outside of FBLA-PBL and how have they shaped you?

In FBLA, my leadership roles include being a two-time local chapter vice president, the NJ FBLA Vice President of Membership, and the national Eastern Region Media Director. Outside of FBLA, I was class treasurer and class Secretary of State. These roles have given me the confidence to be a strong leader, to work well within a team, and to motivate others to accomplish their goals. I believe that this has also enabled me to have a good rapport with others.

How will you ensure chapters are encouraging and completing community service?

Community service makes FBLA unique because of our profound desire to give back to our community. To ensure chapters are doing community service, I will work closely and communicate effectively with the Vice President of Community Service to stress the importance of giving back and ensure every member is able to do their part through communicating with them on social media. I will encourage chapters to create opportunities for members to complete community service.

What current state initiatives would you like to continue and/or what new state initiatives would you like to begin?

I plan on continuing my social media initiative Tip Thursday, which helps members with career readiness. I aim to start a new initiative to help students with college preparedness to make sure students are fully equipped with all the tools needed for success.
