The Wayne Valley Chapter of FBLA has held a proud tradition of excellence for many years and is the home school of your state Webmaster.

As a local chapter, Wayne Valley is always active in FBLA activities. We meet at least once a month with the general membership to prepare for upcoming activities, hold Apprentice-like competitions, and prepare for competitive events. Our goal is to continue to increase awareness of FBLA via newspapers, TV, and word of mouth. We use the point system and the student bank account system to attract members and get them involved.

Union County Vo-tech's FBLA program has only been around for a few years but it continues to grow significantly every year. We hold meetings at least twice a month and hold large events such as "Project Hope" where we raised over $2,000 for AIDs awareness and poverty relief in Africa. Our aim is to have each of our 100+ members to contribute to our organization and work together to have a fun and productive year.

We are having a very active year. Special events have included guest speakers such as the CIO at Prudential, real estate professionals, and SBHS alumni. Our members plan to participate in a Stock Simulation with a prize being awarded to the winner. We have plans to take a field trip to Bloomberg during Spring 2006. We will also have a year-end celebration and party to install next years officers at our club meeting the first week in June.

The club has increased community service this year. Members are working to start a Teen Center at the South Brunswick YMCA. FBLA also teamed with Key Club in a holiday Toy Drive and collected items for Assemblyman Bill Baronis Toiletries for the Troops campaign.

Fundraising has included a Pampered Chef show and sales of VIKINGS bracelets and temporary tattoos during Spirit Weeks. We have been able to raise enough money to cover chaperon costs for the SLC, but more funding is needed to help with student expenses and for attendance at the National Leadership Conference this year.

Red Bank Catholic FBLA is proud to have one of the largest chapter in New Jersey with 105 members! Each year we strive to continue to grow amongst our students. If you attend Red Bank Catholic High School and would like to be apart of FBLA, we'd love to have you as a member! Executive board meetings are at 7:30 A.M. every Wednesday, and membership meetings are every activity period. Special meetings for conferences and competitions are also held. Members who are eligible to proceed to the NLC in Chicago by placing in a competition at SLC will have their NLC trip paid for.

Our FBLA chapter is dedicated to business education of high school students, community service, and fun! We compete at all levels of the FBLA organization, perform service activities in our town, and provide a fun environment! Since we are one of the largest organizations in the school, we host many of the high school's major events such as the goldfish booth at the Halloween Hoopla, Super Senior Saturday, American Enterprise Day, and the Video Game Tournament. Our club is designed for anyone interested in the business world, so we encourage everyone to get involved.

Franklin High School is proud to claim an enthusiastic and actively participating chapter of the Central region of New Jersey Future Business Leaders of America. As aspiring businessmen and businesswomen, we all strive to gain as much knowledge and experience as possible in the many areas of business. For this reason, we are planning several trips, including a visit to the Wharton School of Business, and invite many business professionals as guest speakers.

The 2006-2007 chapter president's main focus will be to increase the already reputable efforts in fundraising and community service. We have always been active in the March of Dimes and hope to expand to other walks for cures, in addition. A few of the most successful fundraisers we hold annually are spaghetti dinners, candy sales, and basketball tournaments from which we are able to raise significant amounts of money to donate to a number of causes. This year, we also hope to sponsor a fashion show in the fall, a talent show in the winter, and a flower sale in the spring.

We always welcome new members who wish to gain more experience in the business world and strive to increase membership and conference participation this year.

The Franklin High School chapter of FBLA congratulates the progress of its surrounding chapters, looks forward to seeing new and old faces at upcoming conferences, and enthusiastically anticipates the 2006-2007 school year!
