Leadership

“Leadership is not the ability to lead others. Leadership is the ability to get others to lead themselves.” — Dr. Hamden L. Forkner

Principles

FBLA provides so many leadership programs for it’s members. This year, your state officer team would like to highlight and showcase these amazing opportunities. Through leadership, NJ FBLA will truly be able to Create a Legacy this school year.

Specific Objectives

1. Conduct Workshops — The State Officers will conduct workshops at each conference that will give members an opportunity to learn from the current officers as well as interact with one another. By sharing their personal success strategies and solutions, members will grow as leaders as well as individuals.

2. Raise Awareness of the Business Achievement Awards — Each year, the National FBLA office provides its members an opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills by participating in the Business Achievement Awards. Divided up into four levels, the awards program challenges members to go above and beyond to prove that they’re Beaking Barriers. The difficulty increases for each level and members are sent a special pin from the National Office upon successful completion of a level. Members who complete the highest level are also honored at the National Leadership Conference. The Officer Team encourages every member to participate in this program in order to develop enhanced leadership skills and receive national recognition.
