“The greater the diversity, the greater the perfection.” — Thomas Berry
Principles
Over the course of State Officer Training, each officer was able to discover how diversity brings New Jersey FBLA together as one organization. After discussing our different experiences in FBLA, we were able to build off of each other and make it our top priority to embrace diversity throughout the state. Each local chapter contributes to the title of FBLA being the premiere student business organization in the nation!
Specific Objectives
1. Encourage Chapter Visits from PBL Members — This will allow FBLA chapters to learn about Phi Beta Lambda from PBL members. At the same time, FBLA seniors will be able ask questions about college admission, tuition, and how to join PBL. FBLA will develop a strengthened relationship with PBL from this.
2. Encourage Attendance at PBL Workshops — PBL Officers will be invited to conferences to host workshops regarding topics such as college admissions, transition to college life, and PBL chapters across the nation.
3. Recruit Professional Members — Professional Division members can be parents, educations, business leaders, or older siblings. These members are a vital part of our organization and can be utilized to help with conferences. Additionally, there are numerous benefits to being a Professional member, including discounted hotel prices.
4. Enhance the Middle Level — The officer team would like to increase the number of middle level chapters and members within our state this year. The middle level division is a great way for members to get involved at a young age.
