Congratulations October Members of the Month!

Marissa Dickman – Wayne Valley High School

Marissa is a dedicated and enthusiastic sophomore who alone raised over half the donations for Wayne Valley’s March of Dimes “Pick a Pumpkin” Campaign.  Although only a first year member, she is actively involved and shows an extended commitment to FBLA. She successfully recruited eight other members to join FBLA and plans to continue making a difference by assisting with the March of Dimes Volleyball Tournament, by participating in competitive events, and much more!

Joey Merlo – Egg Harbor Township High School

Joey, a wholehearted dedicated member, has embodied NJFBLA’s theme, “Keys to Success” by utilizing his resources to better his chapter. Joey, along with his family, never fail to show their dedication to the organization by providing food, event ideas, raffle prizes, business connections, and with other resources his chapter might need. His dedication shines as he enters his fourth year in FBLA and he is noted as a “dependable” and “trustworthy” member by his chapter.

Dan Cao – CCTS Pennsauken Campus

When it comes to challenges, Dan faces them head on. As the Parliamentarian of her local chapter during her sophomore year, Dan led her team to first place at Battle of the Chapters at the Southern Regional Competitive Events. The following year, her team took home second place at the State Leadership Conference, a title that her school had not earned since the ‘90s. Ambitious, committed, and shining with a positive attitude, she gives back to her school and community by participating in various community service projects, including the Special Olympics, and by increasing her chapter’s membership.

Megan Loriot – Manville High School

This past month, Megan got everyone in her school involved in helping babies in the “Pick a Pumpkin” Campaign for the March of Dimes. Eagerly spreading awareness about NJFBLA’s community service project, Megan and her officer team raised over $300 in one week. Her outstanding leadership, organizational, and marketing skills along with an energetic personality are several of the many qualities that allow her to bring together members of her community and school and be an outstanding member and officer of FBLA.

Amanda Martino – Wallkill Valley Regional High School

Amanda is an actively involved first year member of FBLA who has not only devoted herself to saving babies this year, but to save children around the world by participating in “Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child”. This past month, she spread awareness about the cause, created a Facebook group, designed posters, and reached out to local churches to join the campaign to help children. In her local chapter, she also volunteered to co-chair the chapter’s annual “Cookie Walk” and will be competing at the Regional Competitive Events for the first time. Her chapter has very high hopes that she will continue dedicating herself to her community and service and continue changing lives in FBLA.

Ben Brown  Livingston High School

Ben Brown is a first year member of FBLA and is currently a freshman at Livingston High School. Hearing good things about FBLA, he joined his high school’s organization due to his interest in business. Ben started out his year in FBLA exceeding the required amount of local fundraising for his chapter. Instead of selling the required 2 Entertainment Books, he sold 5 Entertainment books! Ben is a good student and plans on being an active member in FBLA for all four years in high school. He is definitely an asset for Livingston High School FBLA.

KyungSun Lee attends High Point Regional High School in Sussex, NJ and currently serves as the State Membership Vice President.

Dan Kao from CCTS in Pennsauken should be Dan Cao. Please correct this. Thank you.
